Ants: signs and control
Ants in the kitchen or along the bench are usually a sign of a nest nearby. We work out which ant you have and treat it in a way that suits it.

- Trails of ants along benches, skirting boards, windowsills or walls
- Ants around pet food, sweet spills or rubbish
- Small mounds of soil along paths, paving or lawn edges
- Winged ants appearing indoors
Why they keep coming back
Several ant species are found around Melbourne homes and businesses. They behave differently, so the treatment that works on one may do little for another. Spraying the visible ants can scatter a colony and make the problem harder to solve.
