Who we are

Shield Property Care Pty Ltd (ABN 63 702 686 842, ACN 702 686 842) (“Shield Property Care”, “we”, “us”) provides pest control services in Victoria, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.

What we collect

When you use our quote or contact forms, or call us, we may collect:

• your name, phone number and email address;
• the address or suburb of the property;
• whether the property is residential or commercial, the service you want and a description of the problem;
• your preferred contact method and appointment date;
• any additional information and photos you choose to send.

Please do not include sensitive information, such as health details, unless it is needed for us to do the job safely.

How we use it

• to respond to your enquiry and provide quotes;
• to schedule and carry out work and to keep records of that work;
• to contact you about your enquiry, using the method you chose;
• to meet legal and regulatory obligations;
• to protect the website and our business from spam and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We may share information with service providers who help us run the website and the business, such as website hosting, email delivery, spam protection and customer management systems. They may only use the information to provide services to us. Some may store information outside Australia. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Spam protection

Our forms use anti-spam measures. These may include a hidden form field, timing checks and, if enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile may process technical information from your browser to tell people and bots apart, under Cloudflare’s own privacy terms.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently set advertising cookies. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this policy.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, provide services and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.

Access and corrections

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. Call 0405 444 445 and we will deal with your request.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
